Sirmon, Jason

jason-sirmonJason Sirmon began Seminars by Sirmon in 2004 to provide quality real estate education at an affordable prices. He has earned the distinctive North Carolina Real Estate Instructor designation, and is qualified to teach pre-licensing and CE update classes. In addition to his training company, he has worked as a manager and broker-in-charge at real estate firms in the Charlotte area, heading an acclaimed real estate training program for one of these organizations. Sirmon brings experience as a successful real estate agent in North Carolina, where as an Accredited Buyers Representative and a Certified Residential Specialist he earned membership in an elite club of multi-million dollar producers. However, his passion for education, gift of leadership, and desire to help others succeed led him to change his focus to management and training. In 2003 he graduated from the prestigious Leadership NCAR program, and received the North Carolina Association of Realtor’s Rising Star Award. “You stop living when you stop learning,” says Jason, who, even as he teaches others the finer points of a real estate transaction, found time to acquire his own Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation.

Sirmon’s leadership philosophy is firmly grounded in the concept of “servant leadership”. To him, this means “being willing to get in the trenches and lead by example.” Another aspect of this type of leadership is service within the real estate industry, and Jason’s record in this area speaks for itself. As a member of the Charlotte Area Realtors Association, he currently serves as a State Director, a Mediator, and is a member of the Education Committee, Grievance Committee and the Housing Opportunity Foundation.

As a member of the North Carolina Association of Realtors, Jason serves on the Professional Standards Committee and is a past member of the Equal Opportunity and Cultural Diversity, Risk Management, and Strategic Planning Committees. During his involvement with the Avery Watauga Association of Realtors he served on the Board of Directors, the Community Action Committee, and the Education Committee.

Prior to joining the real estate profession, Sirmon worked in food service management for over 15 years, nine of them in the United States Navy where he proudly served as a submarine sailor. He began his real estate career in 2000 in Boone, North Carolina. While living in the North Carolina Mountains, he volunteered as the Moral Leadership Officer and Supply Officer for the Boone Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, was chairperson of Volunteer Services and Community Actions Chair for Boone Rotary, and served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity. Though currently residing in Belmont, NC, Jason still enjoys spending time in the mountains, where he takes his wife and 3 little girls, including a set of identical twins, for weekend getaways.
